17th oct 2009:Kirketaket, saturday 17th of october. Snowlineat 400-450 mas. Parked the car at the parking lane at Kavliheia, skiing from there but not much snow the first hundred meters towards the mountain pastures at kavliheia. Lots of snow in the mountain, but many rocks sticking up from the snow, partly covered by the snow.! Take care and use helmet! Probably more than 30 on the top that day. Also from far away; from Trondheim, Lom, Kristiansund and Molde in addition to the locals :-) Heavy "spring snow" in the forest above Kavliheia... Some small streams to cross. March 2007: Snowboard Legend Terje Haakonsen in Romsdal
After a spectacular week in Oslo, setting a new world record of 9.8 metres (see video) in The Arctic Challenge' quarterpipe, the "living snowboard legend" Terje Haakonsen sets off to the fjords and the Romsdal area for more fun. Here Terje and company will explore the Romsdal Alps and the Atlantic Ocean with their boards. Today, 7th of march 2007, they were snowboarding and filming in the Isfjorden mountains.
This winter, a team from WincInc and Team13 made a skifilm from Romsdalen and parts of the Sunnmøre Alps. The film is called "RESPECT". You can buy the film at the netshop www.eksponert.no.
